This 3-day, 2-night educational journey offers students — from middle school to university — an authentic experience of the Mekong Delta’s cultural, ecological, and agricultural richness. The program begins in Can Tho, where participants explore Indochinese architecture, join a “Scavenger Hunt” team-building challenge, and take part in a community tourism media project on Son Islet before enjoying a dinner cruise on the Can Tho River.
Day two takes travelers to An Giang for an immersive day at Tu Viet Rice Farm, where they’ll become real farmers — planting rice, catching fish, and learning traditional wetland agriculture. Students will also visit the Cai Lon – Cai Be irrigation system, a major climate adaptation project, and local pineapple gardens before returning to Can Tho for the “Gathering Night” talent and reflection event.
The final day highlights Cai Rang Floating Market, a National Intangible Cultural Heritage site. Students meet local merchants, discover traditional crafts such as mat weaving and rice processing, and experience the art of making hu tieu (traditional rice noodles) before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City.
