On a bright morning in Cu Lao Dung, more than 100 volunteers — including local women, students, and eco-travelers — gathered for Women4Mangrove Day.
The event marked another milestone in the island’s journey toward ecological and cultural renewal.
2. What Happened

Mangrove Planting: 1,000 new Sonneratia caseolaris seedlings were planted along the degraded coastline.

Community Workshops: Women leaders shared their experiences in mangrove-based livelihoods, from tea-making to eco-tourism.

Youth Engagement: Students from UEH and local schools joined educational games and storytelling sessions about coastal resilience.

Cultural Performances: Traditional Khmer-Vietnamese folk songs and crafts celebrated the connection between people and nature.
